Welcome to the Iowa Dancesport Classic!  IDC is a Latin & Ballroom dance event held annually in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Our Luxurious venue again for 2011, is the Grand Ballroom at the Crowne Plaza Five Seasons.  The 2011 Iowa Dancesport Classic promises to be bigger and better then ever!

Workshops, Freestyles, and Showcases are once again the main events of the day, with an elegant dinner and plenty of social dancing fun as part of the evening events.

 We have competitive freestyle dances and non-competitive freestyle dances.  Non-competitive freestyles are where judges will provide comments and/or critiques for the dancers to use to improve their dancing.

During the Freestyle heats, each couple will dance for approximately 1 1/2 minutes, displaying a variety of steps and skills within their specified level.

Similar to years past, the evening session is show time!  Students and teachers display the results of their hard work and efforts in the showcase event.  There will be social dancing in between each set of showcases.  We then top off the evening with a show by our special guest performers and local professionals!
