Welcome to the Iowa Dancesport Classic!  IDC is a Latin & Ballroom dance event held annually in Cedar Rapids, IA.

We're back for our 2nd year in the Grand Ballroom at the Marriott in Cedar Rapids.  The 2012 Iowa Dancesport Classic promises to be bigger and better then ever!

Workshops, Freestyles, and Showcases are once again the main events of the day, with an elegant dinner and plenty of social dancing fun as part of the evening events.

 We have competitive freestyle dances and non-competitive freestyle dances.  Non-competitive freestyles are where judges will provide comments and/or critiques for the dancers to use to improve their dancing.

During the Freestyle heats, each couple will dance for approximately 1 1/2 minutes, displaying a variety of steps and skills within their specified level.

Saturday evening will feature more great Freestyle dancing, multi-dance Championships, and Professional shows by some of the best professional couples from across the country!

 After Saturday, Sunday's afternoon session is show time!  Students and teachers display the results of their hard work and efforts dancing choreographed routines for your entertainment.  As always, there will be plenty of social dancing opportunities between each set of showcases and at the completion of the event.
